The Importance of Attention in ADHD
ADHD is a brain that pays attention on a deep level with hyper focus traits. The ability to ask why and not just be satisfied with the first answer is an incredible skill. People like Einstein, Da Vinci and Thomas Edison had brains that would latch onto something and just wouldn't let it go. And I think if you had a student with ADHD in a classroom say that was finding it hard to get started on research, if you just change the topic to something that they're interested in, suddenly that executive function has disappeared. It's far more sort of mysterious and intuitive and it doesn't make a lot of sense but here we are. This is how our brains work."
