The Importance of Progesterone in ADHD Women

LZ Granderson: Progesterone is a very different animal and hormone. LZ: Some neurotransmitters are also hormones, so we're just going to kind of leave that out there. She says it's important for ADHD women because progesterone makes us have a foggy brain instead of a brilliant bright brain like we want our ADHD to have. The Fandance happens when your estrogen levels go through the cellar during pregnancy but then they rise again after delivery. And what's interesting is that oxytocin actually stimulates the release of serotonin in breast milk which can help treat ADHD.
