The Birth of Lucille Horan

Lucille Horan was born premature in 1920. Her father took her to Dr. Martin Cooney's exhibit at Coney Islands Luna Park, where she stayed for about six months. The doctor said there's not a chance in how much he'll live and my father said, but she's alive now. When I received my cap in nursing school, he sent you a corsage. You know? There weren't many doctors that would have done anything for me. Here I am 94 years later, warm one piece. I'm thankful to be here.
