What's the Difference Between the Nouns and Verbs?

Trying to figure out what exactly his noun classes are is kind of hard to get at a glance with this document. He's, he's taking Latin and having fun with it. The root drone D-L-O-N can either be dalone, which means awake or asleep. And most of the time the phrase means dead or alive. It seems that the words sounds too similar to me. But you know, I don't know who's supposed to be speaking this - humans.
