Is Google Creating a Space for Google Local Listings?

The local vertical is one that is also a constant victim of zero andsits. If you tell me you're going to put up these local business pages, or these business pages, and there is absolutely nothing i can do on there except read the stuff that you've aggregated from other sources, then gugl is going to not provide you with much traffic. There's an experience that is different from everybody else, and that will certainly garner positive impact. Is this something where gogle is just creating a space for themselves?
