The Tibetan Unrest in 2008
Tibetans responded by fighting the security forces and destroying all Han-owned businesses. At least 200 of these demonstrators were killed by the People's Liberation Army in Tibet, although Amnesty International reports that 1,000 Tibetan protesters remain unaccounted for. The international community is so upset about what's going on in 2008, that there is a measure to boycott the Beijing Olympics at that moment in time but that call falls mostly upon deaf ears as they decide there is too much money involved.
