The Dangers of Digital Dollars
The first time I ever saw someone in the United States government talk about a digital dollar was actually during COVID when it was introduced. And they basically were saying like, we need to be able to deposit immediately the money into someone's account. So using this digital dollar would allow us to do that rather than sending checks or whatever. But you can see how people will come up with a litany of different use cases as to where it could be helpful or beneficial.
