Is It a New Thing?
By the end of the fifth century at the latest, you have more mathematics. It's kind of becoming a part of their education. So it seems like some basic numerosy and simple arithmetic was getting pretty common. And that that kind of curriculum is going to beis ver is, just by its very design, deeply, deeply structured by greek philosophy. That way of setting up how to talk and speak and think represents aristotle and post aristotelian approaches to logic and rhetoric.
