Introduction

Ozzy's objective is to teach you guys the English spoken down under. A lot of animals that we have in Australia have names that are derived from different Aboriginal languages and different Aboriginal words. After first settlers arrived in Australia, after James Cook arrived in Botany Bay, they often ask the Aboriginal people what do you call this animal. So I thought it'd be an interesting and fun episode to go over some of these names and how to pronounce them. And then also give you a definition of what that word means if I was able to find it when I was researching this episode.
