Facebook Isn't the Meada Bet, Right?

i'm thinking about microsop by comparison. Like microso was used to be like, the cool company like facebook was. And instead of building some new cool thing like the meda verse, they build a cloud computing business that generates tons and tons and tons of money. It feels like fasebook has enough money to be able to throw three billion dollars a quarter at this and just see if it works. But it's way too early for facebook to say, this is the future of our company because they just don't know that.
