i was 23, moved out to a new city, didn't know anybody in the programm that i was joining. Developing relationships with my peers and my coorkers was deftly challenged. Getting our lab started was a challenge of itself because we obviously eren't on campus to do any research,. And it was all remote. I really did my first year of my phd. In my bedroom.
