Starcrete, a Starch Based Building Material

Food starch could be used as a local building material on the moon or Mars. It would make, they said, if you had a kilogram of the starch, a kilogram, you could make about 250 bricks. So that's not a lot for a kilogram. We definitely want to build as much as we can out of local material when you're on the moon and Mars because shipping stuff there is ridiculously expensive and limited.
