The Characteristics of the Church
Lumen Jensian wrote the Dogmatic Constitution on the church, which is also known in English as the Second Vatican Council. In paragraph 781 he writes: "Anyone who fears God and does what is right has been acceptable to him" One becomes a member of this people not by physical birth, but by being born anew of water and the Holy Spirit, that is by faith in Christ and baptism.
