The Impact of Social Media on Business

In the early days, it was just these platforms becoming more public and more brands getting on them to engage with their audiences. But what really turned things upside down and made people start to realize that they needed to put budget into this was when Facebook started charging for advertising. So once advertising started and then you got metrics and then you could assign UTM's to links back to the website, we could have a very firm way of showing how social media drives business. That changed people's perceptions for sure.
