Is There a Smart Energy Transition?
When the global oil industry stopped spending, production was not only not rising any more, it was they were having a hard time maintaining output. Carbon capture and storage from the source is one technology being talked about as something to help along with the transition. I should also say that there has already been a lot of transition done. In 20 14, just before that policy to move out of coal was introduced, in 20 14, alberta had 55 % coal fired power. That's going to be completely gone in two years.
