How Do You Communicate That Feeling of Living Through History?
When you are writing or podcasting about history, ust to say, events that happened in the past, yours. That's history. But attitudes to l g b t people and our rights have changed a lot since 19 77. So how do you communicate that feeling of living through history without causing pain to contemporary listeners? Yet, a great question. I did feel like, ok, we need to stop and explain, like this is the broader context, and this is why that term was used. And so in that case, it felt like that was nection that listeners could probably make themselves, rather than having me spell it out.
