How to Translate a General Feeling to a Specific Story

If someone is having a hard time translating a general feeling to a specific story, how would you suggest someone help themselves find that story? That's an excellent question. I can't say enough of how important it is to identify that in the early stage of your painting. Often as artists, we have a feel like we're attracted to something or we can tell that like our skin is tingling and we're excited. But that's different than being able to name the light on that tree against that river is beautiful at sunrise.
