The Role of Endoscopy in the Recovery of a Patient
The key thing for surgery is if there is an obvious perforation in the duodenum. If I see a massive cratered ulcer with a huge blood vessel then I am asking IR to intervene and embolize that blood vessel. There are other tools that have emerged in the last few years that sometimes provide a solution that the conventional tools do not. But not everybody has a Bearclaw with them.
