Are They Going to Make a Giant Watermelon on Mars?

Elon Musk has been adamate from the beginning that his goal with space x was to make space travel cheaper and get mankind to mars. Both companies were based entirely off of the work and genious inventions of other people. The fact that both of the companies were started with species life and death as the stakes had some benefits for elon. He didn't really want to make either of these companies public, especially not early, because that means you lose control. And elon is a big control guy. So again, focusing on saving the human race as the goal for both companies allowed him to justify keeping control.
