What's Going to Happen to My Troops?

There were some decisions made in the earliest days of this war that i find pretty inexplicable, specifically because they went against the advice of the military and the intelligence establishment. And there's a couple of reasons why i think t that could unfold the way it did. The next echelon up the chain of command should be going, ok, what's our next move going to be? That's how things are supposed to work. Not being able to recognize that is a massive shortfall, and it is very short sighted.
