Is It Possible to Program a Machine to Be Progressive?

There's no particular, privileged set of progressive values that we can identify as the solution. No particular progressive set has a special claim to be favored. Any particular set is inevitably going to reflect some particular outlook and that will bring with it problems of illegitimacy. And i guess then you also add to this the sort of, like, existential emergency that we're facing in relation to the environmental crisis, is that that we can't rely upon this halp hazard way of gaining moral progress? Yeah. Okay. So tlat, let's turn to the the next question: why can't we program the machine to be progressive in some way?"
