AMD's Next Generation HPC Class Processors

A fully kitted out chip is comprised of 82 billion transistors down from the roughly 90 billion transistors in a full Genoa chip, which means it probably costs less to make than Genoa. The larger number of CPU cores available at Bergamo works out to a single Zen 4C core in about 68%. AMD also offered an update on the status of their nearly finished AMD Instinct MI 300 accelerator family that use Zen 4 CPU cores in CDNA 3 GPU cores on a single package. With these announcements, AMD has solidified that their years ahead of Intel and traditional multi-core server performance.
