Time toxicity of medical care for cancer patients is the time that they spend seeing a doctor. Time taken away from delivering other care could be spent on other people whose cancer care might be delayed because of these issues. There's also an opportunity cost for the health system where physicians, nurses and other elements of the system are taking up space.
