Tony Capstik: If we try only using the target language, we're denying them the opportunity to build on their cultural and linguistic knowledge. Adjit Mahanti: Language policy often means that students don't drop out of school rather they are pushed out. As teachers, we need to focus on the issues which we can change and control in our classroom. The use and celebration of multilingualism is one such issue.
