The Origins of the Burmese Python
Marti and Kim Penny have been breeding snakes for over 30 years. They specialize in selling snakes with a variety of unusual and rare skin markings. It's estimated that nearly 100,000 pythons were imported into the United States from the 90s to the early 2000s. A three-foot pet Burmese python might be okay but what happens when they get to six feet, eight feet, fifteen feet? Well, people just let them go.
