The Role of Pronation in a Darien Bar

In an overpronated foot, the ball of the pinky toe is also like lifting up off the ground as the forefoot everts and crashes. If your whole foot rolls to the inside and it comes crashing down, but that pinky pad, that fifth metatarsal head lifts off, that's just the whole foot rolling over. So that's not pronation. That is a whole foot e-verting. You're not having the drop of the arch on the outside. And for that matter, you're probably not going to see a huge drop on the transverse plane. Most likely, the only real lengthening and drop is going to be the medial arch on the inside
