After rupture, within six months of two years, you begin to see calcification around the plac. A big chunk of calcium means the plac is old and not young. The youngest plaqus have no calcium at all, and these are the ones that are at risk of rupturing. If we open a blockage, once there's scr tissue like this, it doesn't prevent a heart attack.
