This is the one book that everyone remembers as being produced by the situationist international. Gita Borde was probably the figure head, at least of the late period. I wouldn't describe it as conservative, but certainly more like of a traditional academic person who likes to read the classics. It turned out to be way more of a Marxist critique than he thought it was.
