The Trend of Songs Being Shorter Than They Used to Be
Songs are typically being a little bit shorter than they were 15 years ago. I wrote an article once when I found out that Spotify pays for 30 seconds, that constitutes a stream and that pays out, right? 30 seconds. So the article I wrote, which went viral, was like, why are we writing songs that are 32 seconds long? You know what I mean? Like, why would you bother? If I get 30 seconds, you don't get three minutes. Do I do that with the Uber? No, like it does not happen, right? Doesn't happen, you know, you can sort of see how these things are correlating. But everybody still likes a chorus
