The Importance of Physical Location in Entrepreneurship
Steve Wozniacki: I would have thought there would be more companies that were leveraging off of the physicality, if you will. He says Chattanooga took TARP funds and not only created one of the best fiber optic networks in the country but also a smart grid. App Harvest built what's now, I think, the largest indoor greenhouse in America because they're location outside of Lexington, Kentucky with a 24 hour drive. The other interesting thing about App Harvest is that area where they are is known as Appalachia, coal country, which for decades really has been in decline.
