How to Be an Investor

Mike Downey: I invest in a lot of real estate by never investing in real estate. He says, "If you're not an investor when you're broke, you probably won't be an investor once you have money" People think investing is hard and there's no shame in putting $100 a month into the stock market to say, 'I'm an investor,' he says. The same logic holds true for charitable giving - if you don't do it when you're poor, you'll likely keep doing it until you're rich.
