The Battle of the Osage River

In 1806, General James Wilkinson sent out Zebulan Pike on an expedition. Pike was to lead a group of 51 Osage Indians to their home on the Osage River. Historians tend to agree that Pike was innocent of any sort of nefarious schemes and he wasn't plotting with Wilkinson or Aaron Burr in any way. His mission was one of science and exploration, but hey, if you see anything, let us know!
