The Importance of Deep Brain Theory

Our brains are constantly updating their 3D model of the world with new information. When they don't agree, it's called prediction error and that's when we update our sense of the world in some way. The more confident your predictions are, the more evidence you need to override them. If you see a mask facing away from you will just as likely see it as a mask facing towards you because your brain is very confident about this belief. But other stronger beliefs like there's one on my coffee cup over on my site would be able to override that weak belief without much effort.
