Max Weber argues that an ethic of responsibility is in part and parcel of full human life. Leo Strauss has very famously critiques Max Weber for being a prototypical relativist or not giving an account of the human good. But I don't know if you have any thoughts about how it is that he argues for this position of the ethic of responsibility.
