The Christian Feast, Not an Abandonment of Time
Christian feasting is a declaration, even in the bleakest time of thee of hope. The feast reminds us of the ways god has brought us, delivered us and provided for us. And even more, it points us forward to the great climax of god's story in the new creation. So i'll wrap up this part with quote from schmeman again. He says, we are at work in the world. Any work, if analyzed in terms of the world itself, becomes meaningless or irrelevant.
