The long, exaggerated strides sent chills down my spine. They were too soft for me to hear which walls the sound was bouncing off of. Each one sounded closer, yet remained untraceable. The anxiety was brain melting and i had to make something happen before my heart exploded. I removed my shoe and launched it overhead into the blackness. But after my foot grazed over a few pieces of glass, i realized that one misstep and i would give away my position. Unless i felt like confronting demon spawn I decided to jump it.
