Is Pax-Lavid a Good Idea?
There was a massive difference between my surgical colleagues and my medical colleagues. Surgeons are problem solving every inch of the way through a surgery, improvising and writing off things that require freedom to improvise within the surgical field. The medical guys were frozen in place, frozen, because they're all employees now. And so the surgeons were not prone to be under the sway of centralized authority. I think the scientific profession that comes out worst from this pandemic is the modeling profession. They kept allowing the worst case scenarios to be presented as projections or predictions.
