Cyrus's War on the Gates of Tarsis

Sianesis, the ruler of Solisia, sent his wife Epiaxa to Cyrus with money and a show of support. When Archaxerxes received Sinesis's message that Cyrus was on the march, he summoned the army to meet him at Ecbatonna. By the time they made it to Tarsis, most of the city's inhabitants had abandoned their homes.
