This is a story about the making of art in general. It could also be a story about a writer who perfects his art in his mind and remains obscure. If you are producing art that no audience can see or appreciate, is it still art? Is there still something there that's valid? Well, if I can just give an analogy to a story that this reminds me of, not at all in its execution, but somewhat in its conception.
