The Rise of Streaming

The writers guild of America are striking. They're demanding a few things, one of which is that studios don't use AI. If you have a show that brings a lot of people to Netflix, it does really, really well. You're not getting paid that differently as a writer if the show doesn't perform well. That complicates residuals and it complicates how much money from subscriptions goes to each show.
