The Pro-Life Argument for Legal Abortion

Dr. Potts said in 1977 that those who want the abortion law to be liberalized will stress the hazards of illegal abortion and claim that hundreds or thousands of women die unnecessarily each year when the actual number is far lower. In fact, there were not thousands of women dying every year from illegal abortions as Dr. Potts inferred in his presentation. The answer to preserving women's health is not keeping it legal to kill one of the people involved in pregnancy, the child. We should be able to care for both and the evidence shows us that we can.
