The Importance of Biodiversity in the Forest

Research has found that if you have more biodiverse forest as opposed to monoculture forest, you have 30% extra organic matter in the soil. And so that's huge because that means when the rain does fall down, you actually can hold each of those extra 1%. When you have extra Organic Matter in the soil, it can absorb way more than 20,000 gallons per acre.
