The law of large numbers can be applied to software development. It presents you with an option: Well, we can say with a 95% certainty, we can get at least eight things done and an 85% certainty we canget at least 11 things done and so on. So which one should we plan for, or which ones should be planned for because it doesn't always have to be a single answer.
