The pelvic floor is already susceptible to weaknesses or strain, maybe. When a person gets pregnant and they layer on the body, changing the increased weight puts them at a higher risk for any kind of disfunction. However, when you start to target how you are training these muscles, even during pregnancy,. with modifying exercises, with being very attentional about breath work, with mobility work, these palfic floor muscles can adapt.
