The critical point at which beyond which gender rolls take over is when you have your first baby. 99, 9% of marriages in india are unequal and i'm just leaving point zero, an percent for so that people don't get angry at me. I've never met any couple which has an equal marrage, including my own. The father is not around when this is happening, because there is no compulsory paternity leave. So making it compulsory forces the man to be there.
