There's an inherent fascination that everybody has in the way things work. And i think if we were willing to change our curricula in the schools, for example, such that the kids were able to explore things that they had some particular interest in, you would find a shift. The goal is to develop individuals who have sufficient self esteem that they can manage their own lives. So it's not just buying a shiny new car. It's getting a whole new way of thinking about the world that's around you and how you can be more caring to those who grow up with and live with.
