Introduction
Hegel was one of the major post cantian german idealists, alongside ficta shelling and my beloved. All of them were involved in a project to restore metaphysics after kant's attack on it. Kant had said that we don't have the right to talk about the nature of things in themselves. He thought that we could never legitimately step beyond appearances and know the nature of realityor things in itself. That sounded a lot like the death of metaphysics.
