Populaus movements often come in pretending to be democratic and having some very real popular legitimacy at first. But then as people start to recognize that they might be undermining democratic institutions, or simply mismanage the economy, they quickly face choice between wretcheting up oppression and giving up some of their power. And so i think that there is the ifacation of what happens, either the democratic forces manage to fight back and win, or sooner or later, this populise movement need to concentrate more power in beown hands.
