The Rhino is now worth more dead than alive because of the value of its horn, which gets can get about 40,000 bucks on the black market. The good guys tranquilize rhinos in Africa and then actually take a chainsaw and remove the horn. It takes about five years to do so; you can keep the Rhino alive while it's not enticing a poacher.
