The Diffeasibility of Intuitions
In philosophy, intuitions are only taken to provide diffeasible evidence. The support can be overturned or overridden by countervailing considerations and reasons. Undercutting defeaters remove the justification that the diffeasible reason would otherwise provide for the conclusion. They don't positively show that the relevant conclusion is false, instead they merely remove thediffeasible justification provided on behalf of the conclusion.
